Experience Alaska’s great outdoors while lodging at a Galena bed and breakfast. Located in the Interior region of the state, this small, quiet village is situated on the bank of the Yukon River approximately 300 miles west of Fairbanks. During your stay here, you can fish for salmon or go kayaking or canoeing on the Yukon River, take a guided hunting trip, watch the Iditarod Sled Dog race pass through, or tour the backcountry on a snowmachine, ATV or cross-country skis. To the southwest of Galena, AK is the Innoko National Wildlife Refuge, which is accessed through the village of McGrath. The refuge is home to over 130 species of birds, as well as caribou, wolves, black bears, grizzly bears, river otters, red foxes and more. After a day exploring all that this area has to offer, you will appreciate the comfortable accommodations of our local BBAA member inn. When you return home from your vacation, be sure to tell us about your visit. We look forward to hearing from you!
