NENANA, ALASKA

During your Alaska vacation, consider staying at a Nenana bed and breakfast. Located just over an hour from Denali National Park and Fairbanks, the town of Nenana, AK is where the Tanana and Yukon Rivers meet the Alaska Railroad, so train enthusiasts will appreciate touring the Alaska Railroad Museum and the Golden Railroad Spike Historic Park and Interpretive Center. Other local attractions include the historic Episcopal church, mission and school built in 1905, and the Iditarod dog kennels where canines are bred, raised and trained for the world’s most challenging dogsled races and competitions. Nenana is also home to the quirky, but famous, Ice Classic, a contest where entrants try to guess when the ice will begin breaking up on the Tanana River in the spring, a competition that awards the winner a surprising $300,000! Our Bed and Breakfast Association members offer comfortable and convenient B&B lodging combined with friendly Alaskan hospitality and knowledge of the area’s activities and attractions, making the most of your Alaska experience.
