Enjoy Lodging at a Bed and Breakfast in Willow, Alaska
Inns in this area are the perfect jumping off point for canoeing, hiking, fishing, hunting, skiing, and snowmobiling.
Willow is the dog-mushing capitol of the state, with more mushers per capita than anywhere else in the world and hundreds of miles of trail heading into wilderness. Take a dogsledding trip in the winter or experience one of several Iditarod mushers’ kennel tours in the summer, where the road system stops and wilderness begins. You can stock up at the town's shops, grocery stores and restaurants before “getting away from it all.” At several points along the Parks Highway, visitors will experience breathtaking vistas of Denali and the Alaska Range, soaring up from the valley floors.
Many of our B&Bs in this area also have amazing views of Denali, too. For a quieter time, why not just relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery of Mt. McKinley or the Aurora Borealis.
